Your data stays in India · Billed in INR

Archive the data you can't delete. Find it the day you need it.

Years of orders, transactions and logs don't belong in your live database. Move them to us, keep them safe in India at a fraction of the size, and answer audit, finance and customer questions whenever they come up. Every download is exactly the file you stored.

Speed measured on our live service, October 2026. Size savings measured on test files of orders, payments, database backups and logs (3.2–6.8× smaller); the lowest we've seen is 2.3×, on a file of random numbers. Your results depend on your data.

Old data is costly wherever it sits

Most teams keep it in one of three places. Each has a price.

In your live database

You pay premium database prices to keep records nobody reads, and every one of them makes backups and upgrades slower and riskier.

In cheap file storage

Cheap to keep, slow to use. When an auditor or a customer asks a question, someone has to find the right file and load it before anyone can answer.

With a service hosted abroad

Many archive services keep data outside India and bill in dollars, which raises questions in every compliance review and on every invoice.

Sovereign Cloud gives that data one home: out of your live database, easy to search, and kept in India.

How it works

1

Upload the files you already have

Database backups from PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQLite, and exports such as CSV spreadsheets. Upload them in your browser, or let your tech team automate it. The free plan needs no card.

2

We keep them safe in India

We shrink your files without losing a single detail and store them encrypted in Mumbai. We only replace your original with the smaller copy after checking it gives back exactly the same file.

3

Get answers, download any time

Search your records from the browser with SQL, the standard language for asking a database questions. Downloads always give you back your original file, exactly as you uploaded it.

Bring the exports you already have

No conversion needed. Upload what your database or tools already produce, compressed or not, and search it as tables.

PostgreSQL

Database backups (.sql)

Every table in the backup becomes a table you can search.

MySQL & MariaDB

Database backups (.sql)

Standard backups work as they are.

SQLite

Database files and backups

Every table is included.

CSV & TSV

Spreadsheet exports

With or without a header row.

JSON

App and system exports

Nested details become columns you can search.

Parquet

Data warehouse exports

Column types are kept.

⚡ Up to 1 GB per file — or drop in multi-gigabyte dumps using our automated Splitter.

Schema-aware splitting: Every chunk remains a valid, independently queryable table (no split lines or broken multi-line statements), and re-downloads stitch back to a byte-identical original with cryptographic SHA-256 Merkle root verification.

Export commands and CLI guides are in our docs.

Built for teams that keep records for years

Fintech and lending

Closed loans, settled transactions and repayment history you must keep for years, ready the day an auditor or a regulator asks.

E-commerce and D2C

Past orders, invoices, refunds and returns, out of your live database but one search away when finance or a customer needs them.

SaaS and platforms

Activity logs, history and data from former customers that you have to keep but rarely look at.

For your tech team: three commands

Upload, search and download from their own scripts. Create an access key in the dashboard, then:

# 1. Upload
curl -H "x-api-key: $SOV_KEY" \
  -F file_id=orders-2023 -F file=@orders_2023.csv \
  https://api.sovereignbyte.tech/v1/vault/direct-upload

# 2. Query
curl -H "x-api-key: $SOV_KEY" \
  -d file_id=orders-2023 \
--data-urlencode "sql_query=SELECT status, count(*) FROM orders GROUP BY status" \
  https://api.sovereignbyte.tech/v1/vault/pushdown-query

# 3. Download the original, byte for byte
curl -H "x-api-key: $SOV_KEY" -o orders_2023.csv \
  https://api.sovereignbyte.tech/v1/vault/download/orders-2023
Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Ask Claude or Cursor about 2022 orders. Zero risk to your live database.

Connect your AI assistant directly to your Sovereign Cloud Vault. Execute sub-second DuckDB SQL pushdown on cold archives, inspect schemas, and verify Merkle proofs — without ever touching production databases or leaking credentials.

Sub-second SQL Pushdown

Claude runs DuckDB queries directly on cold archives without loading huge files into memory.

Isolated Sandbox

Read-only SQL prevents accidental data alteration. Zero network access from the query engine.

Cursor & Claude Ready

Works seamlessly in Cursor, Claude Desktop, Antigravity, and VS Code in one click.

Built to be trusted with records

Nothing lost

Nothing is rounded, reformatted or reordered. Account numbers with leading zeros, dates, and names in any language come back exactly as you uploaded them.

Answers without a data team

Each file becomes tables your team can search with SQL. Searches are read-only, so nothing can be changed by accident.

Checked, not assumed

Before we replace a stored file with a smaller copy, we check it gives back exactly the same file. If anything differs, your original stays.

Your data stays in India

Your files, searches and records stay in Mumbai, and the dashboard connects there directly. Plans are billed in INR.

Works with your tools

Your tech team can create access keys and upload, search and download automatically from their own scripts and apps.

Yours to take back

Download any original file whenever you like. Deleting a file removes it and every copy we made of it.

Start free. Pay when it's worth it.

Free: 2 GB and 10,000 searches a month. Pro: 50 GB and 50,000 searches for ₹4,999 a month. Growth and Enterprise by invoice. No extra charges for searching your data.

Questions

What can I upload?

Database backups from PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite, SQLite database files, and CSV, TSV, JSON and Parquet files. Each file becomes one or more tables you can search. Files can be up to 1 GB each — or drop in multi-gigabyte dumps using our automated Splitter.

Do I need to convert my files first?

No. Upload the file your database or tool already produces. The only PostgreSQL backup types we can't read yet are its "custom" and "directory" formats; your tech team can make a plain .sql backup instead (see the docs).

Can I upload compressed files?

Yes, gzip files (.gz). We keep the file exactly as you uploaded it and only unpack it to answer your questions. Zip and tar files aren't supported yet.

Do you change my data when you shrink it?

No. Every download is identical to what you uploaded. Before we replace a stored file with a smaller copy, we check it gives back exactly the same file; if anything differs, the original stays.

How fast are answers?

The first search on a new file takes a little longer while we prepare it. After that, answers on a 150 MB file take milliseconds on our servers, plus the time for the result to reach you.

Where is my data stored?

Only in Mumbai, India, encrypted. The dashboard and our API send your files and searches straight to Mumbai, and only your account can access them. Our website pages and Google sign-in are served from outside India, but they never receive or store your files.

How much data fits in a plan?

Plans count the size after we shrink your files, so a plan usually holds several times its size in original data. Order, payment, database backup and log files typically come out 3–7× smaller; the lowest we've seen is 2.3×, on a file of random numbers.

Can you connect directly to my database?

Not yet. Today you upload files. A connector that moves old records out of your PostgreSQL database, and checks them before anything is deleted, is in development.

What happens when I delete a file?

The file and every copy we made of it are removed, and the space goes back to your plan.

How do I know if the service is up?

Our status page checks every part of the service every 30 seconds. If a problem affects your data or access, we email you.

How do I pay?

Free and Pro you can start yourself, paid in INR through Razorpay; cancel any time and your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. Growth and Enterprise are billed by invoice.

Start with the files you already have.

Upload one file, ask it one question, download it back. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
